Pasta was really great! I lived in Italy for 7 years but this is in top 3 🏅

Experienced real authentic Sicilian food. It’s not too busy during lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed every dish we ordered

Great pasta and wine, best pasta I have had in a really long time. A must visit if you want Italian in Paris! Homemade sicilian style pasta, with simple, yet exploding flavours. The service was also great! I cannot wait to go back and try all of the amazing pastas. (Also a lot of vegetarian options)

Tucked away on a quiet street this Sicilian bistro serves up delicious antipasti, fresh pasta and creamy desserts daily, with everything made in-house. Family-run, with Mauro as the charming host, la Trottinette is all warmth and hospitality. The dĂ©cor is simple but inviting: a comfortable dining area with gold and cream walls, black-topped tables and cheerful red napkins. The restaurant is tiny, so it’s best to reserve ahead.
There are two sittings each night, and Mauro waits until all the diners have arrived before announcing the evening’s menu. The menu is only ever spoken, so make sure at least one of your party speaks enough French to understand what to order! The appetizer is always the same: a delicious and generous board of antipasti. Its delights include mouth-watering smoked mozzarella, marinated aubergines, and bruschetta.
Next up, you have the choice of five or six pastas and sauces. At least three of the pasta choices are meat-free, and the antipasti are totally veggie. A word of warning, though: don’t ask for alterations to any of the dishes; they are proud of their cooking here and any requests for deviation are liable to be met with derision.
La Trottinette has an excellent selection of velvety reds and zesty whites, all from Sicily. We recommend taking the wine by the glass so that you can sample a different one with each course; Mauro is more than happy to advise. For such authentic cuisine, you might easily expect a hefty bill, in which case you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
